Answers:
1. I'm not sure what spotting is, sorry.
2. My fav. brand is always ultra thin slender, they're pink in a green package.
3. I don't use tampons because of choice, I could if I wanted to, but I personally like pads better because I find them more comfortable, and easier to change.
4. You need to change when its getting full, you can always tell when you need to.
5. Flow is how much comes out, I can't really think of a way to word it. Some people have a little come out, so they have a slow or weak flow.
6. Maxi pads are very big pads, for a heavy flow.
7. No they can't unless you wear white pants, then maybe.
8. I don't know what of those types are the best but I like always and recommend them. The pink type is designed well for teens.
Don't worry about you period. You'll get use to it, and you'll learn what you like to use, and how often you need to change, and how heavy your flow is. Good luck and I hope I helped!
1. Spotting is then you bleed a little between periods. It happens more often to people on birth control.
2. I don't really have a favourite brand; they're all pretty much the same to me.
3. I hate the idea of tampons and I never use them, but other people love them and refuse to wear pads if tampons are available. It's a matter of personal choice.
4. There's no set amount of time. You change whenever the pad is relatively full of blood, you feel really wet, or you notice a faint smell coming from it.
5. Flow is the blood that comes out. A light flow is a little blood, and a heavy flow is a lot of blood.
6. Maxi pads are the pads you use during your period. They're usually just called "pads".
People will only see a pad through your clothes if it's a very thick pad and very tight clothes. All the pads your mom has are "best" and won't leak as long as you use them correctly.

I usually change my pads depending on how much is blood is in it ...If Not so much i'll keep it on if alot i change it.

First, Congradulations :)
My favorite brand of pads are stayfree (ultra thin)
because there thin and stay stuck onto your underwear unlike always...
I like to wear tampons ( gentle glide regular) with a pad on heavy days in case of a leak especially during school so you don't have to worry about leaks .For starters you should use tampax pearls the lites in purple wrapping because there really slim and easier to insert
and yes sometimes you can see liike a bulge where your pad is but not always it depends on what type of pants your wearing like tight pants, i usually wear sweat pants or shirts that are kind of long that cover my butt in case of a leak
spotting is exactly what it sounds like, spotting in your underwear but not very heavy. People usually get spotting towards the beginning or end of their period. I never use pads because they're sooo uncomfortable but for about the first year of my period I was too scared to use tampons so I used ALWAYS pads that are thin so you cant see them through your clothes. I think whenever you get the courage to put a tampon in, DO IT! it's so much better than a pad. Just be sure to leave it in until a little blood leaks in your underwear because if you pull it out before it's soaked up enough blood it will stick to you and make it very difficult and painful to pull out. and if you put the tampon in and you can feel it then you need to push it up inside you more. Changing your pad is pretty much your own call, whenever you feel like theres enough blood in it, I'd change it a couple times a day though. Flow is how heavy or slow the amount of blood that comes out is. Your flow varies throughout the whole period. you might have heavy flow in the beggining and a regular flow towards the end. Maxi pads are the maximum absorbency. All pads should say heavy, light, regular, or over-night, super, or some word like that on the package, same with tampons. I would always worry about people seeing pads through my clothes too but I used a thin pad back in the day but, now I use tampons the whole time. HOPE I HELPED!! congratulations!!
Spotting is when you spot blood between periods. My favorite pad is the always ultra thin with wings. I like them because I know I won't leak and I feel really secure. You can not see pads through clothes. I you don't like wings I suggest carefree because you can't feel them that much.
Hope I helped!
1. spotting is light color and happens before you actually start
2. i would go with maxi but i dont really wear them.
3. i love tampons thats all i wear
4. change them when they arent whitte anymore if changed alot it can cause rashes down there.
5. flow is how much you are bleeding
6. sometime people can see it through your clothes if your wearing tight pants.
1. Spotting is when you just see spots of blood on your underwear after or between periods.
2. I don't use pads, but my friend likes Always Clean because they have an individual wipe on the cover of the pad so you can freshen up and feel cleaner, smell better, etc.
3. Tampons are great because you can't feel them and you forget you're on your period.
4. Since pads are worn outside the body, the blood sits on the pad, oxygen gets into it, and it can start to smell. So change it every 2-3 hours.
5. Flow is what comes out of your body during your period. It's kind of slang for period.
Example: My flow is heavy.
6. If you're wearing white pants or tight pants, pads may show.
Congratulations,
You should start with ultra thin pads. They should give you plenty of protection during the day when you can change your pad often. I change pads almost everytime I use the restroom or have been sitting for a long time and start to feel wet.
You can switch to a thicker maxi pad when you go to bed. You will need more protection to make it through the night. A thick pad can be seen under some clothes such as sweats or soffe shorts. Keeping the pad snug in your panties will keep it from shifting about and becoming noticable.
Tampons can be tricky at first. When you are ready just try to relax while inserting them. Once they are in far enough, tampons are comfortable to wear. Waiting until you are actually on your period will also help with insertion.
You can also find ultra thin maxis with wipes attached to them. These will help you stay fresh and clean. Hope this helps!
