Ok this is kind of personal, so girls eyes only! Please help!?

Question:
Ok, so i havent started my period yet and im 13 (ill be 14 in october), all my friends already have and i feel kind of abnormal. Should i be concerned or go to the gynocologist/doctor? I know that i should be thankful and i know that its not fun but, i want to just be like everybody else. C: please help!

Answers:
It's normal. Don't worry about being like everybody else, because everyone is different.

I didn't get mine until 14 and a half. Some people I know didn't until age 15 or 16! And don't worry about it--it is pure hell, and you're lucky. I'm glad I put it off as long as I could!

Usually you'll get your period 2 years after you start developing breasts.

You know, studies show that television raises chemicals in the mind that gets the hormones going, so girls who watch too much TV get their periods earlier! Irrelevant, but an interesting fact...don't go watchign TV, its not like it'll really speed anything up...

ANYWAY. Bottom line: it's perfectly normal, grow at your own pace. Be glad you're period-less. And enjoy it!!
nope totally normal i wouldnt go to a doctor about that specific issue until youre 15 or 16 and trust me i went through that same faze. you want to blend in but trust me the second you get it you will regret it
No, that's fine, I know girls who haven't had it until 18 years old. You're lucky!
I understand fully. Most girls get their period from age 11 to 16.

You have nothing to worry about right now. It will come in time, most likely very soon or within the next few years.
its completely normal just wait a few months
You're fine. It'll come. What's the rush? I don't usually reccomend it, but if it's that serious to you, lie and say you have it. Not usually is an understatement, I'm all about honesty, actually. But, it wouldn't hurt anyone. I don't really understand why you can't just accept that it's an event that is not in your control and not worry about it. You have nothing to worry about. If you're 16 and still don't have your menses...then you might check out a gyn.
BTW, you will NOT be the only almost 14 year old yet to start.
you shouldn't want to be ani different. . . being your self is the reason why you want to follow all of the other ppl. . .so why don't you try being your self and they will want to follow you.. . . I don't see why you want to get it. . .you don't need to go and see someone.. ..my mum didn't get here period until she was 16 and you shouldn't worry about it
Its definately normal. Be happy. Some girls don't get theirs untill their almost 16 so wait a while before you talk to a doctor. If it would make you feel better than talking to a doctor would be fine too.
Some Girls Don't Get theirs till they are 16. Don't feel left out Your not missing out on any fun. I got Mine When I was 12. I'm 13 now.
No, you shouldn't be concerned - 12 & 13 are simply average ages for beginning your period which means that a number of girls start before or after those ages as well. I started when I was 13, and several of my friends had already started, some a couple of years before. My older sister didn't start until she was at least 15!

I do understand about wanting to be normal, but everyone's body develops at a different pace. Just as some girls develop breasts earlier and some grow tall sooner, your period will start when your body is ready. The only reason you should see a doctor right now is for them to reassure you (from a professional and experienced point of view) that you are normal and you're fine. It will come in its own time.
Nope i got mine when i was 13...u wont want them when u get them though but anyways dont worry every1 matures at a different rate.
