Funny coochie smell right before period?

Question:
about a week before my period, my coochie smells funny...it kind of smells like really strong raw meat, not fishy (thats the best i can describe it). is this normal? its annoying because i am embarrassed to have sex with my fiance. what could this be and how can i subdue the smell? i only douche right after my period and I know it's not a yeast infection becasue it is gone after my period is through. it happens every month about the same time. MATURE answers only please. thank you!

Im sure its hormone-related. I know I have a different smell down there too right around that time. I dont know how to describe it, but just different. Usually a week after I have a totally different smell, like sweet almost. So, my answer is, its probably normal and probably hormonal changes in your body.
it could be the douching. It's not good for the 'good' bacteria inside you... so when you douche you're whiping out all the 'good' bacteria inside... i would stop douching for a while. Or change soaps... I was told by a doctor that soaps can do that... But odors before your period are normal...
It's normal to have different smells and different types of discharge through your cycle. Chances are you bf doesn't notice it as much as you do, or doesn't care that much. Any way you can ask him? Maybe just "do you think I smell different at different times of the month?" Maybe hearing it from him that it's no big deal will make you feel better about it so you can just relax and enjoy!
you want a mature answer yet you call it a coochie, now thats funny
