Where is "down there"?? Did you mean your feet or did you mean your vagina? If you are just going in for a routine physical and did not request a pap smear or pelvic exam they won't do those things. The nurse will check your blood pressure, pulse and respirations and get your weight. The doc will check your eyes, ears, mouth and nose. He will listen to your lungs and your heart. He will check your spine and maybe your reflexes. The will probably want a urine sample to be sure you don't have any infections etc. Unless your doc wants blood work you are done.
Well sometimes but I actually go to a regular doc then have a down there,up there appointment by a separate doc. Once you get to be a certain age they do. Check breasts always but you should be doing that, if you have some. Down there is a matter of age and if you are sexually active. If you are active, you need for sure to have a pelvic and get tested for stds and a pap. If your not active and very young they may put it off for a while. Why don't you ask.?
It just depends on what kind of physical you're getting. For a regular old check up with your family doctor, they will get your statistics. These are height, weight, blood pressure, and heart rate. The doctor will also listen to your chest and back for your heart beat and breathing. And he will look into your nostrils, ear canals, and throat, and test your arms and legs for reflexes. The most touching involved would be if he feels your neck to check your glands/lymphnodes, and he may also push around on your tummy to make sure everything inside your abdomen is how it should be. A visit to your gynecologist on the other hand would include a pelvic exam and most likely a breast exam to check for lumps.
