Hiyahhh =] ..
Seriously Don't Worry About It ..
Your mum is there to help you when it comes to things like this, so don't be afraid to talk to her.
Remember she has went through this before too, and will know how scared you are feeling.
As for when you start, your mum could also help you with this =].
Usually, the age your mother starts at will be the same as you, so ask her so you can be extra prepared =].
Just don't be frightened, cos every girl in the world has periods, and it's normal .. sure it might seem frightening.. but you will soon find out that most of your friends are feeling exactly the same way =P
Good Luck =] xx
its not as scary as it seems
but if u tihnk ur gunna start soon i suggest if u go places have at least 2 pads or sumthing in ur purse just in case
wen i first started it was less then a month after mi 10th b-day
i was freaked out by it
and it was so uncormfortable so i say tampons but not ur first time
and u should talk to yer mom about this stuff anyways like ask her wut its like and stuff moms r big help wen it comes to stuff like that!
anyways good luck!
Calm down, it will be okay. You will probably start in the next year or two, so you really need to sit down with someone who can explain the whole thing to you properly (don't rely on your friends for information - they may not know anything more than you, or may be misinformed and working off rumors). Your school probably offers a session once a year to explain things.
Tell your mom that you want to talk about your period before you get it. Ask her all your questions and ask her to show you how to use pads and all that stuff - she'll probably be buying it for you anyway, so you need to tell her at some point.
Don't worry about starting your period - every woman on the planet has been through this too, and you'll be just fine. It may feel uncomfortable at times, and it may be annoying or embarassing to deal with at times, but it's also the start of a wonderful new stage of your life.
If you have any specific questions, you can ask it here, but it's really better if you can have "the talk" with a person face-to-face and understand the whole thing.
i know exactly what your going through! i just recently ended my first period. well don't worry about it for now. if you feel like it might come, wear some old underwear, not ones you just bought because they will be ruined. when you get it, and you don't know how to tell your mom, just say "um, i think i got my period". hope i helped!
just tell your mom i think i just got my period trust me she will understand cause she has been through it before.
dont be scared, it not a scary thing
seriously the easiest way to tell your mom is just to be straight and say: mom i got my period
its the easiest way and you wont have to explain anything

It will answer a bunch of questions. If you can read some of it with your mom. Telling your mom (sharing with your mom) might make the two of you feel closer. There is nothing to be afraid of, but it's normal to be nervous.
