Answers:
Calm Down. The shot will take like 1.2 seconds and its over!! Just dont look and keep talking and boom its done!!

PLEASE get it done though...I do have HPV and I would have loved to get a vaccine at your age if I had the option!! It will be well worth it, you will be fine, I PROMISE!
I'm 26, but I just got mine yesterday. They are indeed giving them to girls your age---but you'll (obviously) need to get your Mom to take you in, and you'll need her insurance. Some insurance companies cover it, mine does (Cigna), but not all---you have to check with them, first.

Here's the basics:
It's a 3-shot series, Day 1, 2 months later, and 6 months later. I got the shot in the upper arm, the liquid wasn't thick that I noticed, the needle was small, and it totally didn't hurt. Way easier on the arm than a tetanus shot!

I haven't had any side effects at all, not even swelling at the injection site, which is the most common problem. It wasn't hard at all, and I'm glad I'm starting the shots, it's peace of mind!

When talking to your Mom, make sure you express that it's not a sexual thing, and that it's for your health just like a tetanus shot. Tell her you'd rather get it now and be protected than have one more thing to worry about when you get older. If you can get it, there's no reason to wait. Print out a copy of the materials about Gardasil online, and take it to her. Even if she says no, you'll have her thinking about it, and she will probably change her mind. :)
Nobody likes needles..it doesnt feel great but it isnt anything you cant handle. The injection is given in the arm. No one has complained of any side effects in our office. Gardasil is given at an OB/GYN office, a total of 3 injections 2 months apart..(one every 2 months).
As a mother of a teenage daughter, I would seriously suggest having the shots. I don't think your mom will have an issue getting you the series of shots seeing as it could very possibly keep you from having a terminal illness. My daughter wasn't too excited about the shots either, but she made it through just fine and I have peace of mind that I have at the very least attempted to improve the potential quality of her life.

On a side note: the needles are not large. the first one is the most painful and it only hurts for a few seconds. Please ask your pediatrician next time you go in. More than likely he/she will certainly make a very good argument as to why your mom should allow it.
