Question:

it really depends on the girl. Sometimes mine lasts for up to 5 days whereas my bestfriend's only lasts for a few days. The best things I've found to use are Kotex tampons and as for pads... Always. Just get the thickness depending upon how heavy yours is.
if you are talking about your life, then you will have it unltil you are about 40-50 y. but if you are talking about cycle, then about 3-5 days.
Periods can last anywhere from 3-7 days on average.

Ultra thin pads are not always going to be enough, especially if this is your first period. Talk with your mom and invest in some larger, thicker pads. Once you get used to how your period flows, you'll be able to use thicker pads on the heavy days and thinner pads on the lighter days. Any major brand is fine, it's totally up to you.
You'll probably need something more than an ultra-thin pad eventually. And, tampons are generally more comfortable than pads, especially if you have a heavier period. You can start out with junior size or slim fit and work your way up if you need to.
since u just got it then it may b sort or long so i cant really tell u it could last 2 days or 5 or even 10. (once its regular it will last 5-7 days) it depends on how heavy the flow is to decide what kind of pad to use.if its lite then use the kind ur using and if ti heavier then get the next size up or 2 sizes up

lots of luck
