Emergency contraception?
Question:
does it affect you long term? please reply..
Answers:
It won't effect your health "long-term" per say, but by taking emergency contraception (the morning after pill) even once can manipulate your normal menstrual cycle. For example it can bring on your period earlier, make it heavier, or longer, depending on how your body reacts to the hormones in the emergency contraception.
In the future I would recommend that you not take it that frequently, or as a means of "birth control".
but why would you do that? ask your doctor - and while you're there pick up something more preventative.
if you need to take emergancy contraceptive 3 times in one menstrual cycle then consider going on the pill, if you dont want to have children.
But when you take emergancy contraceptive you will have a bleed then you will beging your next cycle - so dont really understand how you can take it 3 times in one cycle.
Im sure after a while it will beging to affect you and you should go and tlk this through with a doctor or at a family planning clinic sounds like you need to get yourself on a more stable and a daily contraceptive, to prevent this from happening.
Take care
