Brith control pill dosages.?
Question:

There are different dosages for different people. Some people can't go on a high dosage of hormones because it makes them sick. Some have to stick with low dosages. It depends alot on your body's chemistry. A doctor can tell you more about it. If you have a planned parenthood, schedule a time to discuss the different pills. They are VERY helpful! On a higher dosage, you may feel side effects but with a lower dosage, side effects are usually minimal. Some people need the higher dosage because they could be very fertile or the lower doses don't work. Just depends on the person! I hope this helped!
I don't know advantages/disadvantages of high/low dose. I know that low dose hormones are better. I completely recommend the Nuva Ring. It is a ring that you place in the vagina and you leave it there for 3 weeks, and take it out for a week for your period. I love it. You don't feel it, it is super-low hormone level, and you don't have to remember to take a pill once a day or change a sticker (the patch) once a week. I have used this for almost 3 years and after about 6 months, my period went from super-heavy 7-9 day periods with lots of cramps to a 2-3 day super-light period with barely any cramps. it is awesome!
