Hi, I'm 14, is it normal for me to be a littly chubby?


Question:
In the past 2 years I've gained 30 pounds, putting me at 130 lbs. I've read somewhere that it's normal for your waistline to thicken during puberty. I've heard somewhere that teens starting thining out at 16. But, I don't really workout and don't eat very healthily, although I've never eaten very healthily and always stayed thing. What do you think?

I'm about the same weight as you [129].

It's totally normal for teens [especially girls] to gain weight during puberty..I'm sure you'll thin out..but if you 5'4" or taller..130 is a good weight for a girl.
And even if you're shroter than that..you're probably not done growing..and when you grow more, you'll distribute the weight and you may weigh the same, but you'll look different.
Yeah, your body changes a lot during puberty, and a lot of teenagers grow a little chubby just before giving another stretch, then they look proportionate again. But as someone who was skeletical skinny through her younger years, I was overconfident when I grew a little chubby, and then some more, and then some more until I stopped being chubby and realized one day I was plain fat. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you, but a little excercise won't harm you. It is easier to develop a dicipline for sports at your age than at mine. Make it a habit, even if you look great.
ya being a little chubby is okj, but u might wanna start eating healtheir. i dont mean like a health freak , jus try like a fruit each day. any way ur 14 and ur still gonna grow so ... EAT AS MUCH AS U LIKE! but not like a hole bunch of junk food. exersisesing helps to and ya eventully ull thin out, unfortunatle not everyone does at 16 maybe 17.
