Answers:
I went and asked my girlfriend for you, and she said that maybe you should go to the doctor to have it checked out.
Her periods used to be irregular due to the birth control pill she was using. Stop or change and give the body time to readjust.
Stress and excessive excercise also effect your period.
Girl go see a doc. This shouldnt be happeng.
It is normal to be somewheat irregular, and it can continue until menopause. But the best way to regulate is to get on some form of birth control bill. The pill will also help lighten your flow, and shorten your cycle. I have been on the pill for 6 years now. My period last 3-4 days and is extremely light. You are fine!
its different for everybody, if you started just about a year or two ago then it still has a little while to be irregular. its very common to have sporadic periods during teen years, it should even out soon though. if things get worse, talk to your mom, an older girlfriend, or a doctor.
It sounds pretty harmless to me, but I would definitely see your doctor to see if you can get things straightened out. At 18 your hormones are still very imbalanced, so some irregularity is to be expected. Are you on the pill? If you are, you may need to switch to a different one, or maybe even consider going on it to settle everything into a routine. I went on the pill at 16, and my periods became like clockwork, so it may be worth looking into. Good luck, hope this helps!
