Which contraceptive pill is best??
I've been on my current pill, called Trinordial, for a year now and have started feeling a bit depressed and low in sex drive, plus i've put on weight because I am ALWAYS hungry.
I am now thinking of changing to a different pill, but not sure which for to go for. Anyone know a good pill? I have already used Cilest.
Advise much appreciated!
So if you wanna take pregnant...dont use protection?

A lot of women use ortho novum, ortho tri cyclen lo are two of the most commonly used ones. I would make an appt with your OBGYN and discuss your options and you might decide to go a different route like with the nuva ring or something like that but that is a decision that you and your doctor needs to make together and tell her/him about what you are experiencing and together you can discuss the best birth control for you. Any birth control pill will have the side effect of weight gain just to let you know so you may want to check into the nuva ring.
I used Microglynon for about 1 yr n half n I never had any problems with it.The best thing would probably be to speak to your doctor about it.
Hope this helps! x
Orthro-TryCyclin.
Seasonale or other pills that offer fewer periods?
the pill does decrease your sex drive, that has been proven. It was in the medical press a few months ago.
To find the best pill for you, you need to discuss your lifestyle with your GP. It may be you are disciplined enough to take the mini pill at exactly the same time each day. It may be you need a combination pill. Maybe the injection is better for you - then you don't have to think abou tit at all and won't have any periods - although you may get hungrier! I have been on microgynon for 20 years, no problems. I like it, it may be old fashioned, but at least we know all the risks with it. Some of the newer ones we do not!
I use the lose dose pill called Alesse. Works best for me.
prob best to check with your doctor. what works for other people might not for you. your doctor should prescribe something better suited to you.
How long does a term concluding?
It's different for everyone. I used Microgynm for 8 years and have recently switched to Cerazette and had no problems with either but I know people who have been on both that have had problems so it's really just a case of trial and error
I have sex october 7th but I used protection..?
If you have used two different pills and are not happy with either of them its time to think out of the box. try some other form of contraceptive
has any one got or ever had a coil fitted?
micronor, it's a mini pill and works brilliantly. the only side effects i ever had was for the first 4/5 days i felt nauseous after i took it but after that I've had nothing whatsoever!
it reduces flow making your periods lighter, shorter and reduces cramps. it can also stop you periods altogether after 1 yrs use and can be easily reversed unlike the injection.
it is a lower dosage, pill form of the injection so it is safer and can be reversed quickly and easily whereas the injection can take months. you have a 3 hr window with this pill so the effects where off quickly if you dont want to take it anymore.
this pill has actually helped me lose weight as it has decreased my appetite slightly (doesnt happen to everyone tho!)
ive been using microgynon 30 for the past 2 yrs, no trouble except i have put on about a stone since!
I am afraid they are all ' good pills ' ,. The effect on patients seems to be fairly random, all you can do is try another one and see how you feel. If you look at pill data sheets they are virtually identical, each promising much the same possible side effects.
