If I had a breast reduction, could they grow back?

Question:
I've sometimes considered having my breasts reduced, as they are far too big, pull on my back, really get in the way and have recently become so heavy they are actually sagging under their own weight. I used to be a 32G-GG, and thanks to some medicine that didn't agree with me causing weight gain I've recently shot up to a 36H-HH. As you can imagine, no clothes ever fit me, I never look graceful and I feel really uncomfortable and ungainly. I've thought about going down to a D or DD cup (any smaller wouldn't suit me), but as each time my weight goes either up or down I gain at least a cup size, I'm worried that if my weight yo-yoed even slightly my boobs would start to grow again and I'd be right back here again, but having gone through ridiculous amounts of pain to get here. Any thoughts?

Answers:
My neighbor had a reduction, and hers grew back again when she got pregnant.
Now they are bigger than ever and she says she wouldnt bother again, knowing what she knows now.
IDK LMAO. Maybe?
I would consider a reduction. I have had one myself and no they do not grow back. Just do your research online. You will feel so much better about yourself afterwards. Go get a free consultation from your Dr. Good Luck
If you are at your heaviest, they should not get any bigger after reduction. I had reduction and it has been one of the best choices I have ever made (they took 4.5 lbs off).
I don't think so

After puberty, the breasts no longer grow
Most of the time doctors take out as much of the fatty tissue as they can, so even if you gain weight or get pregnant they should stay the same size after you lose the weight or baby 'fat'.

You could always try to go to a small C, then if they get a little bigger than you could either look into another reduction or try to deal with them somehow.

You could definitely benefit from a reduction. I had it Feb 2006 (38J to 38C) and do not regret it one bit. I feel if they grow back, they grow back and I can look into another reduction or just deal with it. If they don't grow back, then my doctor was good enough to take all the fatty tissue out of my breasts so I don't gain in cup size.

As for big breasts such as GG (or in my case, J)... It is not always a weight issue, its a back health issue, especially with sizes D and higher...
Yes, theoretically it's possible, but with a reduction you will be removing a large number of fat cells and skin, so it would be unlikely that you'd ever get back to the same size you are now.

This procedure is sometimes even a covered medical benefit if it is affecting your health. I say go for it - I've known a few women who have had it done and are much happier and healthier for it.
Dang GG is huge! If I was you I would try to get a reduction before you hurt your spine. I assume you are overweight, but really a lot of weight is definitely in your chest. You should AT LEAST talk to some Plastic Surgeons and see what kind of options you have. It wouldn't hurt to talk to your insurance company too, they might pay for it. I'm no expert, but I have heard that they can grow back, but it really depends on where you usually gain weight.
leave your breasts alone, they are not your problem. your problem is weight control.. i'm guessing youre not at an ideal weight even at the GG size. so reducing your breasts will not solve your problem. thats about as effective as when women get their hair cut short to make them look less overweight, it doesnt work. just change your eating habits, eat heathier and in less quantities and excersize to burn more calories than you are consuming. you will not only reduce your weight, you will also reduce your breast size, and at the same time look better, be healthier and more comfortable with you body.
Quite possibly...your age is a factor but breasts are mostly just fat tissue. If you exercise and eat right i believe they won't.
If you do a reduction, I believe you'd might want to put in a smaller implant,
You can now get the silicon implant, which looks anf feels the best, But as always they need to be replaced every7 to 10 years. Good Luck to you...: )
DD? Seriously? I doubt very much, unless you are 16 or 17 years of age, your breasts would increase in size. Obviously with a weight gain, every part of your body increases in size. In gaining weight, all of your body parts become larger, as your body is retaining fat. How much fat you retain and where varies for every individual, due to your body type and your metabolism. Why not just go to an expert?! Make an appointment and go to see a Plastic Surgeon! They'll tell you everything you need to know about your situation and answer any question you may have! I believe most, if not all Cosmetic Surgeons, will give you a consultation appointment for free.
Yes they do. I had a reduction 5 years ago and went from a 38E to a 38C. Then I gained 15 pounds 2 years later and they went up to a 38D. Now I just had my first child and they are up to a DD again. So yes they can grow back, especially with weight gain. Ask your doctor what he thinks and see if it would be worth it for you to go through with the surgery. Good luck!
that depends if you are a large lady or not.if they are big because your a bit over weight they remove the fat but if you keep eating the way you usually eat they will come back.if its bcause they are naturely big then no they shouldnt
I had my Breast Reduction 2 months ago and at the time of my surgery I was a 34G. I like yourself did not want to be small so I got reduced to a 34DD which was still over 1.2 kilograms of solid breast tissue and a little bit of fatty tissue.
It depends on what your breast are primarily made up of, for example mine were mainly solid breast tissue with almost no fatty tissue which is why my size could increase but never decrease. Thanks to the reduction my breasts now, physically cannot get any bigger as there is no fat tissue left in them, (fatty tissue cannot grow back, existing tissue just expands)

I was not fat before my surgery but it is amazing now how many people compliment me now for looking really slim, this is because I have about an extra inch of a waist from where my breasts used to be.
DD is a perfect size, especially when you have been so large although you may find that like myself a lot of people criticise you for only being reduced to a D or DD which is apparently still HUGE according to some lol.

Mine are now 1 large handful and they are so perky and solid, and the funny thing is even though they are a lot smaller now I still get attention because of how nice they look. It's a really good feeling.

Oh and also you will love all your clothes fitting and all the gorgeous bras that come in around D sizes.

All the best
