Girls...Urinary Tract Infection?

Question:
Sorry, gross I guess, but:

How soon can one come on? Like, can you be fine one night and then feel symptoms strongly the next morning?

Answers:
Mine hit me in a matter of hours. I got up in the morning and was fine. Three hours later I was in pain. I get them alot. If you think you have one call the doctor and get a prescription. Go to the store and get yourself some Uristat. It turns your urine orange, but it will stop the pain. I get them so often I have plenty of refills on my antibiotics. Keflex is really good for treating them. Avoid soda if you have one. I hope that helped.
Yes, it can happen that quickly. See your doctor. Never allow such an infection to brew - it will cause kidney problems.
mabye... u need to go talk with a doctor
YES!...had the same problem.you need to drink pomengranete and cranberry juice...not the kind with sugar the really natural kind (i know it sounds gross) but trust me it will be good for you and your urinary tract...see a doctor if symptoms get worse for medicine...dont want to harm your liver!
YES. That is how mine was. It woke me up in the middle of the night and I couldn't go back to sleep.

Get checked right away. It feels like a burning pain and a constant urge to pee.
I've had one before and it really just seemed to come out of no where. Some signs of it are...
1) You have a constant feeling of needing to pee
2) Pain when you actually do pee
3) Blood in your urine

The doctor will give you some antibiotics for it and it goes away real fast.
Ohhhh yes, you can definitely be fine one night and wake up to a nightmare morning. USUALLY when it firsts starts to hit you, it isn't, omg rush to the bathroom, but when you eventually do urinate you will feel strong pain, and THEN the fun begins. If you have one and dont have any antibiotics on you, go to your doctor about it. I've had then a few times this past year so i have my stash of UTI meds at home with me when i need them.
Urinary tract infection is a common and frequently recurring condition in children. The susceptibility of the host, the presence of urinary tract abnormalities, and the virulence of the urinary pathogens are of primary importance in the development of the infection. Renal parenchymal scarring, hypertension, and renal insufficiency are well-established complications of the infection in children. To reduce the risk of renal damage, diagnosis and treatment must be prompt. The diagnosis demands radiologic evaluation of the urinary tract in all boys, all children younger than 5 years, all patients with voiding dysfunction, and school-aged girls with recurrent infection to identify those patients with vesicoureteral reflux, obstruction, or other urinary tract abnormalities. Both voiding cystourethrography and renal ultrasonography are the initial examinations to use to determine the next appropriate study. Children with vesicoureteral reflux or with recurrent urinary tract infections should receive prophylactic antibiotic therapy and should be observed closely to prevent renal scarring.
Ugh Urinary Tract Infections. Thoughs are the worst! Symptoms can start right away or gradually through out the week. Some of the causes can be from taking bubble baths or being sexually active. Although having one is pretty miserable the good thing is your doctor can give you some antibiotics that will make it go away! If you are feeling UTI symptoms (I'm expecting you already know what those symptoms are) I would recommend AZO it will help you feel allot better however it wont cure your UTI. So see a doctor and they will help!
I had a lot of tingling and a really acute sensation like I had to pee all the time and I thought I was going to get a UTI. I called a health store and told him of my plight and he said get more fiber in you diet. I ate a salad and the problem was gone.
I drank cranberry juice because I heard it would help prevent one but I think the salad really worked. I got some more sodium in my diet at another time when I was starting to do it again and that worked really well too. I got no pills, no doctors and no meds and I am fine.
