I shaved my pubic area, and now i'm REALLY ITCHY! HELP.?

Question:
trying to be pleasing to the eye for my man, but now the small area between my fold is REALLY itchy. bad enough that it's impossible to ignore. no it isn't an infection. any household remedies to stop the itch. please!

Answers:
well, first, next time, don't shave down 'down there'! only shave the part that is visible when standing up. the itching is probably from the stubble and you could have a few in grown hairs. next time, try a brazillian wax. they are way safer and you can do them at home. google them for intructions. a clean, cold, wet cloth should relieve the itching.
ok get some whole milk and apply it with a q-tip the milk fat will help soothe it
baby powder or talc...no perfumey stuff. ALso Aveeno for the bath water will help.
dude. duh you itch. i did that a couple of times when i was younger and it just itches because the hair is regrowing again and the stubble is irritating your sensitive area. dont try and put any creams on it, that might make it worse. just take a benadryl or something and just wait it out.
Hydrocortisone cream. Lol, now you know why more people don't shave
Whatever you do, do not used alchohol based aloe vera gels. They dry quickly, but they also irritate and dry your skin.

Calamine lotion is messy, but will help with the irritation.
Hydrocortisone works well too.

Don' screw with benedryl if you plan on operating heavy AA powered machinery, or driving.
Apply baby powder, Mexana powder or a feminine powder such as Summer's Eve. I use Nair and never had a problem of any kind with my public hair.
You're going through all this aggravation for a man?? Next time tell him he's the one that's got to shave - see how he likes it.
that happened to my wife she used vaseline
I dont really know of any household remedies, but you can go to a drugstore and buy Bikini Zone. Its a topical gel with lidocaine in it that really helps, plus its safe to use "down there". It will stop itching in a day or two on its own. If you plan to keep shaving, make sure you stock up on Bikini Zone.
I've shaved down there for 4 years now. The only time mine itches is when the hair is growing back.
Tea Tree Oil soothes it, takes away the itchy red bumps, and also acts as an antisceptic!
Salt water heals things quickly (but stings a helluva lot).
Maybe next time use a cream that dissolves the hair.
When shaving, move the razor in the direction of growth.
After a few waxing sessions hair almost stops growing.
Hope this helps xo
I did that too and it goes away, promise!! If you keep it up after a while it will itch if you grow it back, so keep it clean shaven. Your body is just getting used to the feeling.
put some baby oil and powder on it. that's what i do everytime i shave. now i don't shave it all off anymore I just shave it low. that stops the itching as well.
When I shave I use cheap hair conditioner down there. It stops the itch and the hair grows back softer. I have been doing that for 5 years and it works every time.
get some Bikini Zone from your local drug store. it will be in the same aisle and femimine hygiene products. it's kind of expensive, maybe like 8 bucks for a small tube. but a little goes a long way...and it works well for helping the itch. the itch doesn't last long though. you'll get used to it.
