Females only?

Question:
well I started my period last month and I need to know like tips and things u r always supposed to do when it is that time of month

when will my mom stop acting all wierd?

Answers:
always bring a couple of pads/tampons with you everywhere you go. I recommend you keep 1-2 pads/tampons with you at school or in your purse and a clean pair of underwear just in case you start unexpectedly one month. when it is that time of month, wear darker color pants and if you do happen to leak, wrap a sweatshirt around your pants.

if you have cramps, eating bananas, putting a hot water pack on your stomach, a warm bath, and exercising can help a great deal. if they are severe, you can also take over-the-counter medicines (like Midol) but make sure you talk to your mother or a trusted adult before you take anything.

even with your period, don't let it stop you from doing anything that you usually do. good luck!
Eat bananas for cramps if they're bad. take ibuprophen if you're cramps are super severe. Clean your face a lot, acne can get worse around then. Make sure you shower everyday ( It sounds obvious but you never know). try not to let your cravings get to you. Good Luck!
i eat bananas for my cramps and drink plenty of water to stop bloating
Stay away from salt because it will only make the water retention worse. Your metabolism speeds up and you can burn up to 500 extra calories a day so it's ok to eat more than normal. Dont take a lot of pain killers because they're bad for your liver. The best thing for a woman to take is ibuprofin. And the best advice ever is to look into getting a menstrual cup. They're the absolute best thing for your body and they are more sanitary. No smell, no discomfort, no risk of toxic shock because bacteria can't breed like they do with tampons. It won't harm your body at all and you can do anything but have sex with a menstrual cup. I know it sounds odd and I was a little scared at first too but look it up and do a little research. It helps save the environment too.

For the pad disposal, I always used the little package that the pad comes in (the clean one) and roll the pad up so that the soiled part is on the inside (the pad will stick to itself) - then I put the pad inside the little package - and wrap that in toilet paper.

Now most of the time people don't empty their bathroom trash everyday like they do their kitchen trash, so I usually carry the rolled up pad to the kitchen trash and put it inside of a box or a can or something to conceal it. Then wash your hands

This keeps you from being embarrassed by not putting pads in the bathroom trash.

If the pad is too gross to touch with your hands, you can use the plastic package the pads come in. just put your fingers inside the package, and get the roll started...then wrap the whole thing in toilet paper...

You may have to have a few periods before you learn what kind of blood flow and the length of time you will bleed. There are a lot of different types of pads on the market. I buy my daughter the thin ones with wings, because they protect her panties.

If you do have an accident just use cold water & soap to rinse the clothing out.

In a pinch, if you start your period and don't have any feminine products, you can roll up a bunch of toiler paper, kind of long like a pad, and put it in your underwear until you can get to the store...or home from school or what ever -

Hope these tips help.

Who knows when your mom will stop acting weird. She's probably nervous.

Please, please always dispose of pads properly. They do NOT go in the toilet. Fold them in half or in thirds and wrap them in toilet paper before throwing them in the trash.
