Hey theres nothing 2 worry about chick!! when ur on ur period and go in water the pressure of the water keeps the blood in side you so you don't leek!! so after u been in the pool just pop in to the loo and use a pad!! u could evan take a spare bikini o swim suit with u if That Would make u feel better!!

u can also go 2 Ur local shop, super market , chemist and use a tampon the best 1s to use r the Tampax compact they have a applicator and are much easier 2 use just follow the instructions and Yul b OK!!

dint worry about it! it happens 2 all us girls! and we all have our 1st time scare! so just go enjoy your self and dont worry about it! :)
dude just get some tampons
tampon? im sorry if u dont wanna use one... what i'd do is just not go in the water... maybe just my feet
tampons, darling. ask your mom to buy you some. they're sort of hard to put in at first, but once you get used to them they'll be all you ever use. you can swim with them in, too -- leak free!
Use tampons
tampons...just go to the store and grab a box,if your not sure which size get a multipac with all the different sizes
go to the drugstore and buy SLENDER tampons. There is a sheet of how to use instuctions in the box.
Thats sickening. just stick some toilet paper in there and hope for the best.
use a tampon
dont go in the water...cuz then it willl come out and maybe just maybe a shark will come because its blood!
Actually when you are in the water your period will stop until you get out. After you get out you can just go to the bathroom and change your pad/tampon. I am not a sick perv, I have had 2 older sisters so I know.

Hope I helped

peace be with you

Adam L =)
you totally have to get tampons. in fact, here are some websites that give out free ones:

tampax

playtex sport

kotex (oops... that's pads...XP)
are you comfortable wearing tampons because u can swim with a tampon in but u should take it out after u get out of water and change it. also note when under water ur body stops bleeding so if you dont wanna wear a tampon u can get in water quickly and get out quickly u may be able to do without tampon goodlcuk hope this helped
You can go swimming. When you're on you period it doesn't come out in water. I don't know why, but it doesn't. but you should find a bathroom and check every now and then.
just try and use a tampon, even though at first they may be slightly uncomfortable, in the end you get used to it. just see if you mom has any or ask to go to the store. then just follow the directions and there you go, you are all set for the beach!
Hi girl. Dont worry we've all been in that situation. I think your main option is using a tampon. I've never actually used one myself but I would do the trick if you are ready. Otherwise you will have to stay on the sand
i'm guessing you've never used a tampon
the only way you can swim with your period-without making a total mess- is to use a tampon. it's not as bad as it sounds. read the directions they come with.

or if you really don't want to, wear a pad and when you're about to go swimming,go the bathroom and take it off, and swim for a short while... your period "stops" when you're in water. when you get out of the water, go straight to the bathroom and put on a pad.

that's the only thing i can think of.
i know you don't want to ask your mom, but it would be a lot easier if you did!
If you are having your period and still want to swim you will need to use tampons. While swimming you can insert the tampon and not worry about leakage. You can still use a pad when you are not swimming. There are directions with the tampons if you don't want to ask mom. I suggest a smooth glide insertion. It does not hurt, its just a different kind of feeling. Probable new to you, but know that it is a very "normal" problem for woman and just means you are growing up.
Get some tampons and then you will be able to swim.
Go to the drug store and ask a female clerk and she will guide you the the right materials to allow you to enjoy the day at the beach. Bring extra towels!!

Have you ever used a tampon? Cause that would be perfect for you to go swim at the beach and it's very discreet.

If not you might just want to wear your bathing suit top and some board shorts and soak your knees in the water.

You don’t have to jump into the ocean to have a good time =) Good Luck!
Hun have someone you can confide in take you to the drugstore and get the slender or light tampons, and practice insertion before going to the beach. Once you are able to insert them, you can swim all you want and no one is the wiser...just make sure the string is not hanging out of your swimsuit. Do not use toilet paper as it will disintegrate in the water, and the option of using nothing could also cause some major embarrassment if you get out of the water and there is blood on your suit. While in the water it will continue to wash away, but you don't want to be walking along the beach and have a blood stain. Good luck feel free to email me or IM me
Use a tampon. If you search for questions asking how to insert them here on yahoo it will tell you. You could just say you're not feeling too well and so can only put your feet in the water, it's no reason not to go. Never let your period get in the way of your life! I would just wear shorts, knickers, pad and a tampon and not go fully into the water - only uptoyour kneesor something. Bring spare clothes in case the get wet in the sea. Maybe send your mom a note or a text message if you're desperate? Hope this helps and have fun xo
I guess not to swim.
Tampons. If you're a beginner use Playtex SlimFits. They're created for beginners and young teens. They're really slender and smaller then normal tampons.

When you first put it in (to make things easier) relax your muscles and point the applicater towards your tailbone. The vagina lays FLAT and is HORIZONTAL, it does not go up, it goes back. That should make things more easier.

Also, when you swim in the water with one in the water does soak up the tampon, so when you're finished swimming put in a fresh one (=

If you don't feel comfortable using a tampon quite yet, then you could just use a pad and put a cover-up swimskirt around your bikini to hide the "pad bulk". If your female family members ask, tell them you're on your period and just wade in the water. If your guy family friends ask, tell them.. they'll be too embarassed to say anything.. believe me!

Good Luck and have fun at the beach!
Shove a tammy up there and hope there's no sharks around.
Bleeding stops when you go in the water. Here's what I do (as I can't use tampons): Put a pantyliner in your swimsuit and go swimming. As soon as you come out, go and change back into your clothes. The pantyliner will protect your swimsuit in the few minutes between going in the sea and dressing.
