A gyno visit...few questions!?

Question:

Bascially I went to a gyno because I thought i had a std as i had a sore on my labia minoria. I was put into the stirrups and she put the spectlum thingy in. She diagnosed me witha yeast infection but im still paranoid that perhaps she didnt see the sore (i was in germany at the time so i thought perhaps she didnt understand my symptoms). Any women who have visited a gyno..tell me,when you are in the stirrups,can a gyno see everything?! She didnt examine my vagina with her hands or anything so im afraid she missed something! sorry for the candid question,i just cant stop worrying (oh and this week i got fully checked for std's but the herpes blood test is not available here thus why im asking)

did you tell her about the sore? Did you knowingly sleep with someone you thought had a std?

Anyway a good ob/gyn would have did a through exam an found it. Go to another gyn to get a second opinion.

While sex might be enjoyable you should be always thinking about your health first. Don't take any risk.

You mean to tell me you saw two gyn doctors and neither one of them found your sore. Again why didn't you speak up.

Don't ever be afraid or embarrassed because you don't want to do more harm if you are ill.

When I worry that much I get a 2nd opinion. She should have done an examine with her hands as well though. Good luck, and stop worrying go see someone else!

I would go see a regular doctor, and tell him/her that your worried about a sore. Have him/her check it out, and tell you what they think. I know how it feels to not have someone who is really hearing you. I went to 3 different GYN's for the 3rd one to finally find a softball size cyst. Problably nothing.Probably from useing the wrong soap or towel or something.Since they didn't say anything I think you should stop worrying to much.
