What are the symtoms of having an ovarian cyst?

Question:

Answers:
An ovarian cyst can cause pain if it pushes on nearby structures, ruptures, or bleeds. Pain may also occur if the cyst is twisted or causes twisting (torsion) of the fallopian tube. Symptoms of ovarian cysts can include:

Pelvic pain - constant, dull aching
Pain with intercourse or pelvic pain during movement
Pain during bowel movements
Pelvic pain shortly after beginning or ending a menstrual period
Abnormal uterine bleeding (change from normal menstrual pattern)
Longer than usual menstrual cycle
Shorter than usual menstrual cycle
Absent menstruation
Irregular menstruation
Abdominal bloating or swelling
Note: Often no symptoms are noted.

I have PCOS and I suffer with pelvic pain and I have had all of the above symptoms at one time or another. One time the bleeding and the pain was so bad I went to A & E. I am also currently anemic as I have been bleeding every few days for the last six months except for when I had the massive bleed and pain for 19 days mentioned above.
Well i have had one so i know that you will have lots of pain in whatever side its located. You may feel tired plus bloated and may have not so regular periods.Go to you docter so they can do an ultrasound done to see if you have one and if so how big it is.
More pain than you can imagine!!

You'll feel pain in your lower abdomen in the area where you usually get cramps during your period. When I had my cysts, the pain was almost paralyzing. I couldn't walk, couldn't sit, all I could do was ball up and scream and cry.

I hope you don't have one, sweetie!!
I have several of these in the past. They can be quite uncomfortable and nauseating. I normally felt sick and dizzy. Also not be gross it usually happened a couple days after my period had finished and there is usually clotty clear discharge. I also had extremely bad pains in my abdomen, it felt like someone was stabbing me in the belly button. I have had ultrasounds in the past to see if it was serious problem. It was determined to be normal. But if you feel concerned ask your family doctor for an ultrasound. Here is a link with more information:

i had no symtoms of having one until i was woke up at like 6 in the morning to the most painful thing i have ever felt--i had never had one before and i had no clue what it was it felt like someone was shoving a knife up me and in my stomach at the same time and twisting them---i couldnt stop crying due to the pain and i had to crawl to get outside so my boyfriend could take me to the hospital it hurt really bad when he tried to carry me---then we got all the way to the hospital and i felt like an idiot cause the pain was gone it lasted about 20-30 min but the Dr. said a cyst had prolly just erupted but they would have to ultrasound to be sure so i really dont know i didnt go back cause i have no insurance-----but i REALLY hope this doesnt happen to you ask your Dr. for more info and if there is anything that would make you more prone to getting them
It differs depending on the type and size of cyst. If you suspect anything, though, you should definitely talk to your doctor. Most often, you will have very painful cramps during your period and your period will be heavy and perhaps long (more than 5 days). These can also be symptoms of other problems so you really do need to be checked out.
i was sick with mine and in alot of pain and periods not right i had two cysts removed when 16 years old 16 years old
A lot of pain every day and just a small light relief of pain when period is due but then back to pain.
