You might try using one with an applicator.. The round ended ones are pretty good.. Put a little lubricant on it, before you insert it.. You might also try a few different positions when you try to do the insertion until you find one that is comfortable for you. Leaning back seems to work well.. Another way is to lie down on your bed to insert it.. Take your time, be very gentle and relax, and it should slide in.. When you get it in, make sure if you are using one with a plunger applicator that you push the plunger all the way down. Also note, if you are a virgin, and I will assume you are, it might be a good idea to get a check up at your doctor to be sure that your hymen isn't overly large, where it would prevent you from inserting the tampon without breaking your hymen . It is a rare occurance, but it happened to my mom, so I suppose it could happen to anyone..
you need to be using a slender.
when you put it in put on foot on the toilet so that it will go in better. believe me this helps. also dontuse the cardboard one. tries the tampax pearl. those go in the best.
OMG! i thought i was retarded or somthing cuz i had that same problem. so i just use pads cuz i cant do it lol.
I'm 50 and I've never been able to do it right either. It always feels weird. I just gave up and stick with pads. easier.

Anyhow- practise makes perfect, and trust me- the tampon definately fits snuggly in there, just push it in gently and firmly and it'll slide into place.
EXTRA- Honey you should only have three 'holes' down there-
your tiny wee hole (you can barely see) Your vagina, and your anus. Your vagina is in the middle and thats where you put the tampon. Have you got your mum to help you? Your Hymen shouldn't make a difference. Once you get used to using tampons they are MUCH more comfy and cleaner than pads.
sometimes, a girl just can't wear one. I have a friend who has never been able to, and yet I have no problem. try a different angle, or even laying down. you never know. maybe you can try in a few months or a year or so. but I'd try different angles first. you might also talk to your doctor about it. my friend I mentioned has what is called a tipped uterus, and that's why she has a problem with them.

Well, first, you may not have the right hole. Honestly, I've never heard of a vagina being that tiny. It sounds more like the ureter. Maybe start from the back, it will be the first hole after the anus.
You might have to spread your labia. Then give it a shimmy on the way in. Your doctor can help you if you can't get it.

Relax and don't think about it. Put your leg on the bathtub while standing and then insert the tampon. That helps. I personally prefer a plastic applicator. Tampax is the brand that I use. Good luck.
I thought I couldn't put it in right either until 2 of my cousins and 2 of my co-workers said thay have the same problem. It always feels like it's slipping out or it hurts and feels like it's pinching and if you sneeze, laugh or cough it slips out. One of my cousins said OB tampons work for her. Other than that try placing it as deep as you can get it to go. Somedays especially light days tampons just won't work though at least for me..
Use a junior one and what I find works the best for your first time is sit or even lye in a position that is comfortable and direct the tampon to the right hole and hold it their until it doesn't feel so forin then ease it in. If only a Q-tip could fit in it where to babies come from?
you may not be sticking it up the right hole. there is three. the pee hole,vagina,butt hole. you stick it up the vagina. it may help if you sit on the floor and spred your legs faaaaaar apart then take a mirror and look. it should be huge enough for a tampon to fit through. email me if you need more help.

I agree that you should try slender fit and a plastic applicator (any brand). Also look for light flow and not super absorption. If you are too embarrassed to ask your mom for help, seriously use a mirror. Everyone's body is angled differently and it takes time and patience to know exactly what to do and how it should feel. A mirror can help show you when you have inserted it fully. Then you will understand how it feels (which is like nothing when done correctly). Been there!!The first time is always awkward but you just have to relax and do it.Believe me, everything will fit just fine( remember, later on in life a baby will pass through there!! lol). Make sure you are inserting it into the correct opening.Talk to your doctor if you are not sure.Good Luck!
An extra note here.tampons can be used whether yiou are a virgin or not.This has nothing to do with how a tampon will fit.
This took me forever to get right! It hurt me and my aunt kept saying I shouldnt fee it at all. When I was 13-15 it was a major problem.
I finally got it right.
When you put it in-put it further in.. You cant put it in too far. If you feel it, it's not in far enough. It just taes practice.
You might need a smaller tampon since you are so young or possibly you are holding the tampon at the wrong angle. I suggest getting tampons with the plastic applicator as they will make things a bit easier. Also your vagina is made to stretch a bit (how do you think babies can fit?) a tampon bigger than Q-tip will fit you just may need regular, junior, or light, rather than plus or super plus, but you may have to push or maneuver it around a bit. There's a lot more there than the picture shown in those little booklets.
