For some girls it's normal to not have a period that often. However if you aren't regular by the time you are near 17 then you need to talk with a Gyn to see what your options are. Often they will put you on birth control to regulate your system. Irregular periods are nothing to be too concerned about until your older then it's extremely important you are regular.
that is totally normal, your period will become regular in about a year. Be glad you dont have one every month
When I first started mine was like this. The first one could of been spotting or a regular period. When you first start you can have irregular periods. This is normal. If it continues or you are scarred talk to your doctor.
When you get your first period, it takes time depending on the person to become regular. It isn't anything to worry about for now.
I don't know, you'd best see your doctor, but if I was you I would not be complaining! =D
When I first started mine, I didnt have mine again for awhile. So just relax. It should start again.
thats normal, um if it was your first one you might not have one for months maybe even a year after that but after your period is in a normal cycle for about 2 years then you should worry but your fine and lucky you started that late im 13 and started at 11 :[
There is absolutely nothing up with you, this is normal..My niece was the same. She took her first at 14 and a half years old and never took another one for about a year or so. Just be patient and it will happen it good time, When they do start again you'll be wishing they hadn't started yet.
for the first two years of ur period, it will most likely be irregular. my friend got hers at age 11, then got it the next month, but didnt get it for 9 months after that! my other friend didnt get hers for 3 months at one point and i skipped last month (which was supposed to be my second period at age 13, soon to be 14). its good that ur not worried, cuz u shouldnt be =) however, you can tell ur doctor about it at ur next physical exam...just in case...you should always play it safe.
r u really skinny and cant gain weight? because that happened to my sister started when she was 16 and didnt have another one until she was 18. she was told she would never be able to have children. because her body doesn't have the right balance of stuff, and with her period. well to make a long story short after 5 years of trying she had a big baby boy! so just give it time. or go to the doctor.
Sometime it takes times for you body to change with you.You need need birth control to help regulate your period.but don't worry it's normal in some women, but i will consult a doctor
You should talk to your doctor about this. You started your period late There could be an underlying cause which may be influencing why you have not have your cycle. As much as I know you would like to think that is it normal (based on the other responses) the best thing would be to speak with your doctor. Good Luck!
P.S. Be prepared for whenever it may start again. You dont want to be caught off guard.
That period must have been a <<warning sign>> which is basically telling you that youll get your period soon. Also, it might be genetics, you may want to know when the women in your family got theirs
Also you may be underweight...
Don't worry, its totally normal to be very irregular, you can go up to eight months without having one in your first year... but if you're really worried, just take a pregnancy test.
100% positive that it is totally normal not to have your period for up to a year. If a new year comes and goes try a gyno just to make sure you don't have a hormone imbalance
