My family has a history of colon cancer.?

Question:
and I'm nervous because I only poop once a week, if even.
What should I do?

Answers:
I would definitely recommend incorporating more fiber into your diet. Kashi cereals are great for that. Also, try eating cold milled flax seed. Whole grains are also good. Make sure that you stay hydrated. Take it easy on the red meats. It's really good that you recognize that this is a problem and you're trying to tackle it early! You should also talk to your doctor about your concerns and see what he/she recommends!
Same here- both my dad and grandpa have survived colon cancer- im very nervos and high risk.

go to the doctor and get a colonoscipy. Its kinda gross but it could save you life if there are problems.

good luck
My mother died of colon cancer...its a nasty illness. If you are serious than you need to change your diet lifestyle comepletly.

You should start by making sure your drink your 8 glasses of water a day and eat a high fiber diet. Rasin bran is a great start everyday. You can also go to your local drug store and do the colon cleansing diet to jump start you. You should also start working out and going to the gym
