Depo Provera - Why am I getting a period every 21 days?
Question:
Answers:
I am afraid the depot has just upset your hormone cycle. Someone with little knowledge has worried you about the injection having made you infertile, you must be careful not to naively accept what you read on answers. This is incredibly unlikely.
If you want to restructure your periods, probably further hormones are your only answer, but it will depend on whether you currently want to get pregnant or are still looking for contraception.
you should go to your doctor and have them put on birth control pills. To help regulate you. Depo really screws with your hormones. when I say that I mean it throws everything out of whack.
Good luck
Depo is aweful. It screwed me up royally. I had my period start while the depo was supposed to still be active, then I didn't take the next injection because my period hard come while I was on the medicine and it didn't stop. My period went on for 6 weeks non-stop. By the end I was horribly anemic, and then it skipped a couple months. I don't know what causes it, but I Also am having your problem.
A friend of my mother's found out she will never be able to have children because of depo, it's some scary stuff.
