When changing brands of birth control pills, can spotting occur?

My doctor is switching me from Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to Yaz for PMDD ... when I make the transition, will spotting occur?

Answers:
Probably not if you didn't have spotting before. To minimize the chance of spotting make sure to completely finish the ortho tri cyclen before you start yasmin.
