Depo Provera - Not able to have children?

Hi Lisa C- I have gone back and answered your last question. Looking at the logistics of using answers, you could have added a comment to your own original question, instead of asking another, that would have kept the whole question together.
You are unlikely to have absolute infertility problems. I don't know how old you are now, nor if you already have any family, but if you were on depot for 10 years you cannot be that young. If you started at 16 and don't yet have any family. at 26 years you would already be describes medically as ' an elderly prim', if you became pregnant. Your biological clock is certainly ticking! You need to decide what you want, your period sorted or a pregnancy, before management can be looked at. Go see your GP for a chat.
I had my daughter almost four years ago and have been on depo ever since---but got off depo a year ago and still have not had my period at all. I know that they say it could be up to a year to a year and a half before being able to get pregnant, but I am also scared like you are.
If you are really scared, then TALK to your OB/GYN. They can do tests and such to determine if you can or can not.
)))BIGHUGS(((
Depo really screws with your system. It can be quite difficult to become pregnant. I've heard of a few women who had to see a fertility specialist.
TEN years? WOW, I was only on it for four, then heard all the horror stories and got off it as soon as I could.
