Question:
what is a yeast infection and how do you get it?

Answers:
A plain yeast infection (average & most common ones) are caused by any number of things, yeast are normally occuring beneficial fungus that reside "down there" & are affected by the pH balance. HOWEVER, they do love dark damp moist areas. Summer months, sweat, moisture, make them more frequent than in winter. Antibiotics will almost always make a woman get a yeast infection as they just make the naturally occuring yeast over grow on amount because it is killing bacteria. Wear cotton lined panties & try to stay dry really helps, not skin tight jeans, you need air down there a little bit. SOME are not yeast & are bacterial infections & OTC cream will not work, need RX from doctor. Some are also sexually transmitted & a partner can be a carrier without even knowing it & your partner needs treated also.

its because its moist there.yeasts grow in moist areas
caused by candida species
it can spread from sexual contact ,linen being mixed in laundry etc
it causes colour to change of skin and discharge usually curdy from vagina...
A yeast infection is an overgrowth of the Candidia bacteria either in the vagina, the feet aka athletes foot, the groin area aka jock itch, the intestines aka C-diff, in the mouth aka Thrush, and under skin folds. Normally the good bacteria keep the bad aka yeast bacteria in check but if you get a warm moist enviorment and the right conditions sometimes the yeast will start to grow and take over the good bacteria causing a yeast infection. Think of bread, you use yeast to make it rise and put it in a warm place to rise up. Hope this all makes sense. If you think you have a yeast infection you have to see your doc to get it checked and treated.
