Am I too young to be having hemeroids? Do i need to go on a diet?

Question:
Well I know for a fact that they are hemeroids. I cant take care of them right now... But I am 19, and I told my dad, he looked at me and said im too young. What causes them?

Do I need to go on a diet? Like I said im 19 im 5 feet tall and weigh 220 pounds. Any suggestions?

Answers:
No, you are not too young for hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are varicose veins in the anus. They are usually caused by constipation, so increase your roughage (fiber, green veggies, fruit, cereal) and fluid intake. Also, if caused by constipation, do not strain when going to the bathroom.

Sorry, but yes, it does sound like you need to lose weight but it is best to do it via a lifestyle change that includes limiting your food intake, avoiding fried, fatty and fast foods, increasing your veggie and fruit intake, and exercise. I would first make a doctor's appointment to be sure there isn't a medical reason for your weight (thyroid issues, diabetes, etc). While at the doctor, request a referral to a nutritionist or dietitian who can set up a healthy eating plan for you. Good luck!
Hemorrhoids can develop from any increase in pressure in the veins in the lower rectum. Common sources of pressure and hemorrhoid causes include:

Constipation and the accompanying straining
Diarrhea and the continuous expulsion of loose stools
Sitting or standing for a long time, especially sitting on the toilet
Obesity
Pregnancy and childbirth
It's also possible to inherit a tendency to develop hemorrhoids.

consult with a dr and begin a diet full of low carbs high protein, lots of water fresh veggies and lots of fruits, and begin exercising slowly, its all about diet and exercise, best of luck, be patient with yor self it will take time
First yes you need to go on a diet. You should only weigh about 110 pounds being 5 feet tall. Second increase roughage in your diet like salads and the like. That should help. You aren't too young to have them. I'm 25 and have them really bad. To help with pain and itch and the like you have get hydrocortisone cream to put on it. If they are really bad and bleeding you can ask your dr for hydrocortisone suppositories. That's what my dr gave me and they help immensely. Here is a link that can help. http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/hemor...
Good luck! Please get some help with your weight as well before something bad happens!
