Do tampons hurt?? and what about stmoach cramps?

ok so i got my period yesterday and on fri were going to wis dells and like its water water water! i already asked aquestion on what to do but they all said tampons & im really scared to use them like ive seen and heared the ppl went to the hospital and went in to comas for this and that it got stuck and one girls dad had to get it out!! idk how and im scared to ask my mom if i can do it becuase she wont even let me use midol for cramps. will it hurt? will it give me stomach cramps and if u can help me with cramps too. like what can i do to stop them or make it hurt less? by the way im 12 if that matters

yes your age matters, I'm 38 with a 11 year old who I'm sure will be starting this year before she turns 12 in January. You won't go into a coma or get Toxic Shock Syndrome so don't worry. If you are planning swimming Friday and you want to use one, make sure you use a small regular size, no super's or anything. I used a super once when I was 16 (and still a virgin no less) and it did get stuck but I got it out. It can happen, it's not supposed to hurt if you put it in there correctly and it won't get lost. Lay down on your bed with a mirror even. it's your body and nobody has to know. I remember being 12 sweetie I know how you feel. It won't give you stomach cramps to use a tampon. I started using them at 16 w/o my mom knowing because they cost money so I would sneak them but I needed to because my periods were very heavy. I wish you could talk to your mother, but if you can't do you have an Aunt or a girlfriend who has a nice mom? Good luck hun.

you wont go to the hospital from tampons unless you leave them in for too long change it every 3 hours thats what i do. thats strange your mom wont let you use midol tell her your cramps hurt so bad to the point that your going to throw up or something. make it drmatic so she'll let you. if not take heating pads and put it over wear it hurts.

You wo't have to go to the hospital unless you keep a tampon in longer than 8 hours (change evry 6) It is called TSS

Don't worry, I'm 15 and I've never worn a tampon before.
I'm sure tampons don't give you stomach cramps because I've never heard anything like that.
But, when you're on your periods, it's natural to get stomach aches, unfortunately.
