If you can't leave a tampon in for 8 hours then why does it say "you can leave in the tampon for up to 8 hours, if it hurts when you take it out it hasn't been fully absorbed" on the pearl tampon box?
Answers:
up to means not including the 8. any time below 8 hours you can take it out. if the tampon isnt fully absorbed with blood, then it might hurt just a little bit to take it out because it wont be slick enough to take out.
It just means that you should use a less absorbent tampon xo
