Birth control types?

Question:
I've just started on a generic for Ortho-Tricyclene, I have used Ortho-Tricylene-Lo before and it was ok. Now my insurance covers the reg. Ortho-Tricyclene better than the 'Lo'. Does anyone know if there's a big difference? If so what are the differences, and should I use Lo instead? I'm 23 yrs old and I don't smoke.

Answers:
The regular version has a higher concentration of hormones (hence the "lo" in the lower-dose version), so you might notice stronger side effects.
What you're on works for you, I don't see any reason to change.
This is really a question for your doctor. It all depends on your body's normal hormone levels and the hormones introduced into your body from a different birth control. How your body will react is better for your doctor to decide.
The only difference that I know of is the Lo has a minimum dose of hormones and the regular has an average dose. The only negative is you may have more side effects from the regular since there are more hormones in it. But as you may already know the side effects of birth control aren't usually that big of a deal.
I don't know the answer to this one. I would suggest speaking to your health care provider or even your pharmacist to learn more. Sometimes when I have a question I will call and have a nurse from my Doctor's office call me back to help me out and give me more insight on medicine.
I am sorry I have no more information than that.
I am forty one and have been without the pill for the past eight years of my life I haven't met anyone in my life these past 8 years I want to be naked with...sorry.
The big difference is the dosage. I started on the lo but now am on the higher dosage. The lo worked but it also stopped my period from coming so that is why i'm the higher dosage. Some women need higher hormens. Your doctor know what is right for you. Othro balances out my mood swings and since they are so small they are really easy to sallow with just spit.
