Antioxidants and pregnancy? Grren tea supposedly can be deadly or cause serious threats.?

Why do you think green tea will cause problems for your baby - if that were true there wouldn't be a billion and a half Chinese. Also antioxidants? Why do you think they're bad? Take follicular acid too, it's been shown to be important. All the best - unless you're eating some really freaky diet, it's not going to harm your baby at all. The plancenta will filter out most things.
first off.. nutrition issues .. should be brought up with you doctor.. too much fish.. more than 2 servings a week can be harmful... excess amounts of caffine.. if your downing a 12 pk a day prolly too much... next thought.. this is your first pregnancy.. i assume yes cause you're a little paranoid.. and over doing the worrying..
schedule an appointment with your doctor.. being it sounds like this is your first.. he can set your mind at ease ...
Green tea is helpful not harmful. Chocolate may make you break out, but that is it's only harmful effect. I suggest you consult a nutritionist for some basic guidelines concerning foods. You seem to have a lot of misinformation and confusion.
You should try to stay away from too much caffeine regardless of how you get it (tea, chocolate, coffee, caffeinated soft drinks, etc), that is one reason to stay away from your Hot Coco and your tea. No amount of alcohol is a good idea during your pregnancy (though, there is nothing that can be done about alcohol consumption in the early stages, before you even realize you are pregnant). Also, would stay away from nutrition powders and other supplements, vitamins or otherwise. There are plenty of "natural herbs and supplements" that will do harm to a fetus or cause contractions, premature delivery. They are not regulated by the FDA like other prescription and over the counter medications are. Also, only use Tylenol for pain (no aspirin, advil, motrin or aleve). It sounds like you do need to speak to your Doc about a list of acceptable foods and vitamins (usually Pre-natal prescription vitamins). You have probably not done harm to your child if you have only done these few things, but I would not continue to do ingest these items and check with your OB for what you can safely and in promoting your and your child's health eat. Like I said you are probably fine, do not stress yourself out, this is just as bad as eating unhealthy items. Good luck and take care of yourself. And thank you for being bright enough to ask what you did not know, some people assume they know it all and do more harm to their unborn children.
