simple answer is a bullet kind of shaped thing made of cotton wool that you insert into your vagina when on your period it is an alternative to pads and i think they are much more comfortable and stop you feeling like you are wearing a nappy lol!

i presume your not a girl asking this question? if you are then its somthing which absopbes the blood during a period like a towel but internal to catch the flow before it gets outside. if your a kid im sorry if it sounds a little scarey but its perfectly natural and nothing to worry about. but my guess is your not a kid just a perv lol
Tampax is something you put on your underwear to soak up all the blood that comes out and a Tampon is something that goes up your Vulva and widens to soak up the blood.
