My Pharmacist gave me the incorrect amount of birth control?
Question:
I went to pick up my birth control, and the pharmacist told me he could only give me half as he had the rest on order. He gave me 2 boxes which contained 3 packets each meaning it was a 3 month supply. He also gave me a slip saying the owed me another 2 boxes.
When I pulled a box out this morning to take the pills, there was only 1 packet of tablets inside the box, meaning he had taken 2 packets out, I guess to give to someone else, but he hasn't written it on the slip, meaning I am a month short.
I know I should of proberley checked before leaving, but I always asumed it was their responsibility to check, and trusted them.
What do I do about this? I feel they might not believe me. It doesn't seem like a very good Pharmacy because they tried to charge me for the pills, and I had to explain birth control is free in England.
Any help would be appriciated!
Answers:
go back and tell them.they dont seem very bright
Well why don't you just put in a repeat prescription in to get more of the pill. If you do it straight away then it gives you at least two weeks to get it sorted.
Go back to the pharmacy again and explain. Don't use that particular pharmacy again. They're incompetent.
I would go back to the pharmacist and explain what has happened, this is a terrible mistake for them to make. I would then get in touch with there head office and complain!!.
They take all them years to train, and this should not happen. If they need to take tablets from a box, they are meant to put a cross on the box so the pharmist or dispencer nos this is not a full pack.
Speak to the pharmacy manager. Honest mistakes like this can happen. I assure you that it was unintentional and they simply will give you the one month they forgot to put in your box.
To the idiot who told you to go to another pharmacy because they are incompetent you have to remember everyone is not perfect like you.
Go to a Family Planning clinic. They won't have access to the doctors books right away.
And report the pharmacy it sounds like they are trying to con people.
You should put in a written complaint; you doctor or the receptionist should know where to send it.
The pharmasict should always check how many packets are in the box in front of you. Mine do so reliably. If that happened to me i'd never use that pharmacy again.
