Ask yourself a few questions first:
Is this guy a Christian, or does he hold some moral belief that sex should wait until marriage?
Why does this guy want to date ME, someone four years his junior?
Has this guy ever had sex before?
Am I planning on being sexually active?
(appently not, since it'll be illegal for the guy you may date)
Unless this guy is some sort of uber-Christian and is determinded to remain a virgin until marriage, then stay far far away from him.
Young girls seem to have some sort of infatuation with older guys. Maybe it makes them feel special that an "older" guy likes them. Maybe they think it makes them look cool in from of their friends. Whatever the reason, a 14 y/o girl has no business whatsoever dating an 18 y/o guy and vice versa.
I'll go out on a limb here and say that in the long-run, 95% of guys have one goal when it comes to relationships: sex.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this guy. If not, I can guarantee that within a year you'll be regretting you ever met him.
18 and 14 is a big gap in terms of the life changes that come up, college or job vs high school. I would say to keep looking for a guy you like who is closer to your age & lifestyle.

All I have to say is, if you ever want to sleep with him legally, you'll have to wait 4 years. I don't think it's gonna happen. So, my advice, stick with someone closer in age.
An 18 year old guy is not looking for the same things in a relationship that a 14 year old girl is looking for. Be careful.

its not against the law but it sure is awkward. i'm sure you can find someone your own age a little closer. in a year or less he'll be bored with you because of the maturity level.
If you were 18 and he was 22 it would not be an issue. At 14 you are just to young for him.
I'm 23, and when I was 18, There was only one thing I wanted and that was sex. I didn't even know what a relationship meant? Your only 14, and you shouldn't be dating a 18 yr old boy. He's just gonna use you like a dirty napkin :P
I think if your thinking about it so much shows me you think it is a bad idea sure the guy is older but older guys like to trick young girls for sex because they are easy targets so be careful and don't rush into anything try dating around your own age group then you wont have to worry about anything so much
18 yr olds dont date 14 yr olds unless all they want is sex. Avoid him b/c he is a creep...how do you know he is 18 and not 22 or something.
Don't do it. You'll only get hurt. Unless this guy strongly believes in celebacy, he's gonna try and get into your pants, despite what you say. He's 18, he's a grown man, and he wants to experience a fun life. Dating a 14 year old can possibly put a damper on his plans and he might dump and /or cheat on you. Save yourself the heartache, leave him alone.

and from personal experience i recommend that you dont go out with him. Once a week is not enough.

I think you should stick with your own age group. An 18 year old guy should really be hanging out with 18 year olds...I am sure you are very nice but it's kind of creepy that an 18 year old guy would be interested in 14 year olds...

yah when i was 14 i started dating my b.f who was 16 at the time. now 3 1/2 years later we are still together. but
if he was 18 AT THE time i would of not gone for it.. yah some guys are different but trust me an 18 year old is all about sex. Especailly if he has been sexually active before.

hey maybe it is just me but it sounds like you have already made up your mind and it sounds like you are just gunna look for nswears that say what you want when it comes to relationships alot of people do that i am guilty of that you really have to do what you want to do , and what you do is your way and that makes you you so w/e you choose to do will always make him happy or should if you are happy
18 and 14 really is a huge difference. You aren't allowed to drive a car even with a parent in the car while he's driven a car and a whole lot more . . . He's thinking about college and probably wants someone who has some experience under her skirt while you're thinking about getting a drivers permit and are too young to add complications like having sex at 14. Sex is more than just an action, it's a connection. Giving your virginity to someone is a gift that you can never get back so you need to make sure you're giving that sacred present to the right man. It's true that women mature faster than men and that's why a lot of women date older men, but an older man is typically going to want to be a lot more sexual than the younger women he is with. It's not worth giving him what he wants sexually if it's just to be with him, otherwise he'll get bored and move on to someone else. and that means a whole lot of heartbreak for you. I hope you make the right decision and I wish you good luck with whatever you decide! Just make sure if you do have sex to use protection - you don't want a kid now.
