there are a lot of nerve endings there so it makes for a lot of sensation. some people find the stimulation of the area quite enjoyable.
People like it "up the butt" because there is a G-spot inside the anus, and when rubbed, it feels good. I do not recommend it because it causes problems. My husband wanted me to do it once and since then I've had anal fissures (when your anus tears and bleeds when you poo) and hemmroid problems.
