Question:
Does anyone know of any fertility drugs that actually work?
I want to have a baby but im having a really hard time getting pregnant. the thing is i had sex with my friend and he came inside me on my period after my period and before my period and even when i wasnt on my period and i never got pregnant ... but when he got back with his ex girlfriend she got pregnant with the snap of a finger. so honestly im trying to figure out whats wrong with me. So does anyone know of any fertility drugs that work. Or does a doctor have to prescribe them. thanks for your help

Answers:
There are many things to be looked at even before considering fertility drugs.
you need to be having regular intercourse with the same person for 6 months before considering that there maybe a problem.
have you every had a STD to your knowledge of chlamydia?-any illnesses of note in the past appendicitis?
1)sperm analysis
2)your period record-keep dates and when had SI
3) blood test day 21 to see if you are ovulating
4)tubal insufflation/laparoscopy to see state of your tubes and ovaries
The results of these tests decide what path to follow-just to give you an idea how we think
is your partner fertile
are you ovulating
are your tubes OK
any or a combination of the above may cause a problem

Incidentally you ovulate 14 days BEFORE your period. So keep record and count BACK

These drugs are only available from a doctor-clomid is usually the first tried drug
What? You don't know you can't buy them over the counter? You're trying to get pregnant by anyone, just a friend it doesn't matter? Sounds like it's a good thing you can't get pregnant!
Doctors will prescribe any sort of fertility drugs. You may not need them however. Sometimes it takes months, even years for couples to get pregnant. Everything just has to happen just right. The sperm has to make it to the egg and the egg has to find a place to start growing. There is a ton of stuff that has to go right to make a baby. If you are concerned about it, I would check with your ob/gyn just to check for any problems that may make you infertile and go from there.

Hope this helps! :-)
Start off with an ovulating kit you can buy.. it will help you determine the best time for you to get pregnant.. if that doesnt work you will have to go see dr for fertility drugs.
You need a prescription for fertility drugs, and they do many tests and workups before resorting to them. Maybe you're not getting pregnant for another reason?
Get married, possibily the baby wants to be born to a 2 parent family not one with a part time sperm donor.
Stress will cause infertility.. its a 2 part situtation and solution.
You have to go to a fertility doctor. They do not just per scribe them to you. They do many tests on you to see if you are fertil etc..
Its not just a little pill you pop in your mouth and are on your way. These things depend on the issue with each person, and it is a process.
Thee could be many reasons why you didn't get pregnant. You may not have been ovulating. You may have a slightly tilted back uterus, creating it to be a bit more difficult to get pregnant. May not have been the right time for you. Just because one person gets pregnant right away, doesn't mean others should also. All of our bodies are different. It took me 9 months to get pregnant with my first, and one try with my second. It took my sister 3 yrs. to get pregnant with her first. The doctor said it may have been because she tool birth control for several yrs.
Beings he went back to his X, If I were you I would be looking at not being pregnant by him as a good thing.
Babies don't fix a relationship. They don't make a man stay, they don't change them unless they want to change. get pregnant with someone who mutually wants to and is responsible and not running back to his x. Why would you want a baby with a guy like that. Your baby would suffer and so would you. Its HARD to raise a baby, and they do NOT fix anything in a relationship, if anything it makes it even harder even if both parents are fully committed
I am a fertility specialist so I hope I can give you some advice. The use of fertility drugs should not to be take lightly. They can be very detrimental to your health and body.so this is usually done after all else fails. Ask the questions 1. Are your cycles regular? How old am I? Do you have any abnormal reproductive issues?
If you have abnormal cycles your ObGyn can put you on a drug called Clomid which should induce ovulation.
Stressing out about getting pregnant could be your biggest issue. Relax.
Remember the best time to get pregnant is in the middle of your cycle about 7-12 days after your last period. There is a 48-60 hour fertile period.
See your ObGyn or a fertility specialist and they can be more specific to your needs. I warn you about jumping into any hormone stimulation.
