Black discharge at end of period?
Question:
Answers:
the black discharge is probably old blood, which is nothing to be concerned about. the older the blood, the darker. BUT... have it checked out with a doctor (in-case I am wrong). Don't worry about it being an infection, if it were, it would be creamy (like pus).
it sounds to me like old blood, but if you are that worried and unsure talk to your doc!!
I think it's just the blood that's been there too long that it dried. Don't worry, but just in case, have it checked out!
It could be "old" blood. But I am not sure I would go to a doctor.
I found this
Black Discharge Vaginal
Black discharge vaginal is unlikely caused by urinary infection or human papillomavirus. If you are taking birth control medication, you may be advised to lessen the dosage or stop using it for a while. You need to consult a doctor and receive necessary treatment that repairs menstrual cycle and releases cramps if there are any. Black discharge vaginal is unlikely caused by urinary infection or human papillomavirus.

It's really old blood. Your new blood is bright red. Nothing to worry about. :)
Idk what that is but you should see a doctor..you could have an infection!
I would consult my gyn. It definitely does not sound normal.
Wouldn't be asking a bunch of strange people but I wouldn't know. Go to a doctor and explane what it was (even though embarassing). I don't think that black discharge would be "normal".
it sounds like a blood clot nothing to worry about unless you have it continuously
My periods last for about 5-7 days, and the last 2 days it gets really dark. I'm guessing like the nurse says, it's just old blood. Since it takes longer for my blood to come out, whatever is left up there gets old and dark. And you said your period lasted longer than usual, so you wouldn't be used to the color change.
Hope I helped
its just really old blood coming out. dont be worried. its normal.
Why don't you try douching out then you wouldn't have old blood inside of you. Groose
