No period after stopping the pill?

Question:
I was on ortho tri cyclen lo for 5 years and went off a while ago. I haven't gotten a period. I am NOT pregnant. Is this normal. How long until your body gets back to normal and you get regular periods, or any periods at all. Thanks!

Answers:
It is completely normal for your period not resume right after stopping the pill. Especially since you were on it for 5 years. It may take your body awhile to adjust to you not taking the pill. It could take up to a year to get your period back. But you should really talk with your doctor to see what would be normal with your situation. Good luck. (You are so lucky.)
your hormones are just getting back to normal. may be a month or two.
i think maybe you should see a doctor... i am not good in this... about your question.. maybe about two months my body to get back to normal and my regular periods... that's all that i know...
How long is 'a while'? If it's more than 2 months, I'd see your GYN.
