i suffer for two weeks out of the month & i hate the way it makes me feel.sometimes im weepy...other im just really quiet n want to be on my own...& other times im snappy & moody.Does any one suffer the same & what help can i get to ease it without taking anti depressants?

Answers:
well this is soooooooo comon
eating choc digestives every 3-4 hours helps as it stablises hormone levels
keep a diary as it really helps to look back and realise that you can survive this
go to GP and keep going until they take you seriously - if men had to suffer this they would have found cure by now
also do forget to enjoy a good old cry when nothing else will do
it does tend to get better as you get older then as you get to late 30s Im told it creeps back - still waiting and well in there at the mo
it will pass
Ha, yep totally. It drives my boyf up the wall cos one minute i'm moody, then i'll cry, then all i want is a cuddle. I dont think he knows what to make of me lol xxx

Oh, and i find a good bar of galaxy usually does the trick ;-)
try oil of evening primrose oil (some nice older ladies told me to get it for my partner once) - it was ver effective.

there are some pressure points you can use - but you have to know exactly what your doing with them -so I wont elaborate

other than she suffer from it - I suffered from her going through it
me, badly... was on hormones for it. get paranoid, agressive, awful!! argh! email me if you wanna chat
try taking evening primrose oil
hi, i get the same i know how you feel.iv been taking evening primross oil and calms herbal tablets for 4 months now and it has been working wonders. It might not be for you but maybe try it it might be just what you need.It took about a week-2 weeks before i felt a change. good luck hope you get something sorted
I use to suffer really bad but found that taking evening primrose oil tablets everyday helps. I still have my days the week before but not at all as bad as it use to be. Give it a go xx
i used to have it really really bad. it's almost been completely eliminated with exercise, a good diet without junk food very often, less meat and dairy and cutting out wheat completely.

also i take calcium and magnesium from ovulation onwards.

i'm a different person
Yup! I had a hormone deficiency and used to get depressed and weepy, then vicious and moody with violent mood swings, in other words, things in my way used to get destroyed in my tempers, if in my car, the accelerator would get pushed nearly to the floor as I cut people up for annoying me. Like you, sometimes I wanted everyone to leave me alone and stop speaking to me, it was like "don't look at me, don't talk to me, don't touch me". Everyone used to annoy me, I couldn't even look at some people (even some family members!) without wanting to be sick or fantasising about punching them. I went to my GP who put me on anti-depressents originally, but then I got referred to a Gyno specialist (who incidentally was a man, but he understood perfectly and it was so relieving to talk to someone about the wild feelings I got who knew what I was talking about!) who treated the hormone imbalance and that worked a treat. I still get the mood swings but they are MUCH better than they used to be and are controllable.

I take evening primrose oil too, and try to eat nuts and seeds (a herbalist told me that the oils in these are like a natural hormone that helps). Avocados are also good for this apparently! A general healthy diet is good as this helps rid the body of excess toxins that upset any balance. Exercise is also good, although I have to confess to letting that slip a bit recently! Oh yeah..sweet stuff (chocolate and cheesecake) help me too at my worst moments lol!

Fortunately, I can now recognize the decline when it comes and can change the situation I'm in if I know it will exacerbate things. My fiance is also wonderful in helping me to stay calm, it's amazing how a bloke can be so understanding and helpful!

I hope you get on a level that you're happy with, although (as you know) depending on how bad it is, it takes some amazing will power to keep yourself as calm as possible. xx
PMT is usually affected by the days leading up to your period. If you are stressed then your PMT can be quite bad. I recomend taking it easy the days before, have a hot bath when you are snappy etc. people usually understand, espically other women. It's just something we have to deal with, it sucks!
You are not depressed you are hormonal!
