Is it ok to get a shot while on my period?

Question:

Answers:
The only contraindications for inoculations are prior-existent infections. Menstruation should have no bearing on inoculations.

Just to be sure, call your doctor...THEY will know better than anyone else, especially since you fail to mention WHAT TYPE of shot you're getting.
yep. no problem. life as normal.
I would think so unless you have a fever.
a shot of what??
I have shots of bourbon while on my period all the time.

And I'm doing just fine!

Seriously, there should be no ill effects of getting shots on your period, because your period isn't necessarily you bleeding, it's the lining of your uterus sloughing off, after it realizes that there is no sperm fertilizing the egg it has released. So there's no need for it to build up.

Anyways, good luck and take care of yourself!
