My sister, is she normal? Help!?

She is 12 1/2 she is 5'5''1/2 176-180 lbs and is a dd cup. she is a size 12. how much overwhaight is she and how can she lose it from now to 1/16/08

Your sister is bordering on obese and at her age? Oh, this is dangerous and that's on an adult weight chart! As a child, it's even worse. She is definitely obese. As for weight lose anywhere from 1 to 2 pounds a week is good.

Your sister should see a doctor. Her weight is definitely a medical issue putting her at risk for all sorts of problems. She is NOT normal.

She's at least forty pounds overweight, but that depends on her muscle mass. The best thing to do is have her see a pediatrician. Advice taken for weight-loss here could be dangerous at her age. Also, don't worry about the time frame. As long as she gets healthy, it doesn't matter how long it takes.
tell your parents.get her to a pediatrician and see what they think...chances are she needs to exercise...bring her out to the park more and just run with her...or maybe get her into some sports...

She really needs to start exercising and go on a diet. It is important she eats enough to get all the vitamins and nutrients she needs (approx. 1200 at LEAST, probably no more than 1600), and I would definitely recommend a multi-vitamin too. Being overweight, I will just assume she doesn't exercise much, so I would suggest starting to walk for 30 minutes. Some people find exercising to music makes the time go by faster. She might be more motivated if you walked with her too, or whatever exercise she would start doing. Does she want to lose weight? If she does not, then you cannot force her... it will be hard enough for her even if she is motivated...
