Could I get pregnant with no periods?
Question:

I think the answer is yes. I know that when you are breastfeeding you are still ovulating even tho' you might go without getting your period. I don't know how it works but I do know that just because you don't get your period doesn't mean you aren't ovulating. The key is trying to figure out when you are ovulating to have the best chances of conceiving. I used to think that you ovulated in the middle of your cycle but then I read that you ovulate 14 days from the end of your cycle. So if you have a long cycle, it can be quite a few days off from the middle. Since you aren't getting periods, try to get in touch with your body and try to see if you can feel Middleschmertz (yes, it really is called that) pain- the pain that comes with ovaulation. Then you might have a better idea of the best time to conceive. Good luck.
Some women do manage to ovulate without a period, so yes, you can still get pregnant with no periods. Now, whether or not that pregnancy can survive, really depends on what is causing your period to stop.
Go to a doctor, ASAP. My friend had similar symptoms and thought she was pregnant. Turns out she had ovarian cancer.
You've got problems.
Have you been checked out by the doctor for any problems? If not you really need to go now.
I have a friend who hadn't had a period in years and was told she couldn't have anymore children, she just gave birth not too long ago, so yes it is possible.
If you are way below a normal weight for your height, and are anoerexic or bulemic it can mess up your periods, you stop having them, and even if you did get pregnant the chance of having a healthy baby are next to nil. A baby needs nurishment to grow and if the mother isnt eating properly your baby wont develop properly.
If you are anoerexic or bulemic this is the least of your worries, you can add things like losing your hair, your teeth falling out, and seizures to the things you should worry about
If you lost weight because of illness this is not the time to try and get pregnant, you need to get back to a normal weight, and wait until you are having regular periods and are healthy enough to carry a baby who will also be healthy
Have you been diagnosed with PCOS? if so, your periods will be eractic. Signs of PCOS are obesity, male hair growth patterns (chin, chest, lower abdomen...any or all, may only be a few hairs).
Losing weight is ideal for getting pregnant. If your pregnancy test is negative then my first inclination is irregular periods and may be PCOS.
If you have male pattern hair growth, obesity, irregular periods, etc...go to an edocrinologist or reproductive endocrinologist. There is medication and other treatments available.
Best!
