Endometriosis-just been diagsnosed?
Question:
Answers:
With endometriosis, cells which somewhat resemble the endometrium (the lining of the uterus ) are found outside the uterus where they don't belong. It is a benign (noncancerous) condition. endometriosis is a common condition affecting 10 to 15 percent of reproductive-age women.
The following web site should give you a better insight into Endometriosis. This should not replace any consultation with your doctor, but should give you a greater understanding, and abbility to be able to ask the correct questions, when deciding on the course of treatment.
The best advice I can give you, as no one seems to know the answer, is to contact one of the support groups, here:

Good luck.
hi, i also have endo and am booked for my second lap in two weeks, i'm going to start trying for a baby soon to. I know the idea of a lap can be scary but i'm having one to try and help with the pain but also to make sure everything is ok before trying for a baby. If we're going to have problems i'd rather know in advance. Talk to your dr about why your reluctnat to have your lap, unfortunatley a lap is the only way to diagnoise endo and to see where it is, and so the only way to tell if your going to have problems conceving, we hadn't planned on trying for a baby till next year but i was advised to start sooner rather then later, and in the grand scheme of things a year isn't very long.
A really good website specifically for endo is www.endo.org.uk they have message boards which i find a great support. I hope things go ok take care x
