Its not about age... its about maturity level. If you are not emotionally capable of handling a level of rejection unlike any other... or the responsiblity of protecting yourself physically and emotionally... if you're ready at 15, power to ya! Some people arent ready til way later than that. some (usually guys) are ready before that.
i dont think it matters as long as YOU are ready. and ready doesnt mean that you are doing it because all of your friends are or if your bf/gf is pressuring you to. some people are ready at thirteen or fourteen and some arnt ready until seventeen or eighteen--beleive it or not. and some people wait until marrige which could be a LONG time. lol =]
Whenever you feel ready, I prefer waiting til marriage though.
Waiting for marriage shows that your guy loves YOU for YOU and not just your body. It also shows he won't leave you after he's had it with you, like most guys do.
Wait until you are married! If you have sex and get pregnant, that is not good, because you will either have to kill a tiny embryo through abortion or give it up for adoption in most cases. Or, you will have to raise it, and you and your baby will not have a happy life!
i think that is the wrong question to ask.. it should be "at what age can you afford to have sex?"
since sex has consequences in your pocket book- trips to the doctor, condoms (what have you), and of course CHILDREN. People need to ask THIS question.
So in response- i'd say once you are a college graduate, married (so you easily raise kids financially in the event you do get pregnant), and are mature..
Most people just think "oh sex fun!" but they forget how much it costs.
At least wait until you are the legal age of consent - that way no one gets charged with sexual offences against a minor. Kiddy-fiddlers don't do very well in life.
