IUD + Depo shot?

Question:
I was wondering if it would be safe to get the hormonal IUD (witch i already have) and the depo birthcontrol shot? the reason i ask is because ever since I got on the IUD i have been having like 2 week long periods, and I know that the depo shot would stop them. also i want to make sure that I DON"T have another baby. I've had my second and I'm happy with two. would there be any down sides to this? anyone with some info would be awsome, thanks!

Answers:
You need to allow your body at least 6 months to adjust, and by the 1 year mark your period will have disappeared or become minimal.
Truthfully I don't know of a doctor that would allow it, or why you would want to possibly complicate your health.
The hormonal IUD is 99.99% effective, I do not believe the depo is worth it try and cover that. Monitor your cycle and don't have intercourse during ovulation.
