How can I start birth control pill?

That happened to me once. I'd stopped taking the pill but needed to go back on but wasn't getting my period. My doctor said to just start taking it again, I did and experienced no side effects and got my period when I should have.
Edit: I was told to use backup for the first couple weeks, same as when I started taking them originally.

I would definitely spend the money and definitely check for sure that you are not pregnant and buy a pregnancy test. Then I would wait and relax until you get your get your period. Do not stress or it will not come. Then when your period starts, wait until that Sunday, whether you still have it or not and then start taking the pill.
Whether it's 28 days doesn't matter. Right now, you're still on your own natural cycle, not the pill's cycle. Just wait for this period, then start the pills as directed.
