children at that age can get a uti...try pressing above her bladder and see if that hurts her...(that is what doctors do for children to check for uti)..if she also feels backache, that could be an indication of a kidney infection...but a lot of things can cause a bachache (scoliosis, appendicitis, liver problems)..you should have them checked out but i think this is just a case of uti...good luck!
Try to get her to pin point the place, have her checked for a kidney infection if it is low or she may just have a gas bubble if it is higher... or maybe she banged into something and just hase a deep bruise.
If it continues, go back for more testing. don't let it go on too long.
I totally agree with the other poster. I have a 2 1/2 y.o. daughter myself and if she was persistant, I'd have her checked for a kidney infection. With a UTI, she'd have burning or painful urination and most likely fever. Of course, she's 2 and could have fallen or bumped herself on something and it's nothing more than a bruise but it's definately better to be safe than sorry! In the meantime, try some liquid ibuprofen for children, it will help with her pain, but it's also an anti-inflammatory. Good Luck :-)
