well if you go on birth control it doesn't always mean that your period will be at a different time of the month. you might still have it on vacation but if you skip the sugar pills for the week you are supposed to get your period and go right to the next pack then you wont have your period at all that month. also you can go on the BC pill that gives you 4 periods a year and not have to worry about skipping the sugar pills, talk to your GYN. good luck.
you can't skip it, but when you go, make sure you take all your supplies that you will need, sometimes it strikes at the least convenient time and you can't find a drugstore when you want one..
Yes, you can control the timing of your period by continuing to take active pills. Think carefully about whether you really want to start taking bc pills just for this vacation, though.
