PLEASE AnSWER!!?

Question:
my daughter hasn't had her period in about 5 months. what type of infection cause her to stop her period?

Answers:
Everything can cause this problem. And all the people who say pregnancy, sex and anything like that. Can you just think with good mind? You guys shouldn't forget you are talking with a girl's mother.
Anyways. Weather, health, psychological factors can cause period delays. Yes 5 months is really a long time but It's possible. Also there can be some health problems. You should take her to a doctor. But don't be worry. There are many and many causes of period delays.
Since she is only 12 It's really normal. I assume that she doesn't have her period for more then 1 or 2 years. In first 2 years there can be problems with having period regularly don't worry It isn't anything serious I think but see a doctor to be sure.
pregnancy
not eating
try seeing a doctor.
lol, is it your daughter,or you?
You need to take her to the doctor...You should know better Mom! She might be under weight or sick...
...don't assume anything or self diagnose.best to just get her to a doctor...
being pregnant
Is she anorexic? Pregnant?
ask the doctor just incase its serious
How old is she? Why do you think this is an infection? There can be many reasons why this might happen, other than pregnancy. Is she dieting or exercising to excess?
no, It only indicates that she either is having a baby or just has sex a lot, if not then she has not had a good pulse or blood flow! See a doctor
She should see a doctor. Pregnancy or anorexia will cause loss of period, extreme exercise as well. I do not know of infections that will cause it. Take her to a doctor, do not ask on Y!A
uh, being pregnat. or, does she exercise alot, or has her diet changed alot lately, or major weight lose/gain. these can all cause periods to stop.
You haven't taken her to the doctors yet? WOW, thats sad.
Is she pregnant or doing some excesive dieting or is she on the birth control pill I mean there could be hundreds of reasons!
Hormonal problems are usually the most common, and that is something to be worried about. But take her to her gyn to be sure it is nothing serious and see if you can get help if it is hormone related.
For a start - it's blatantly a child/teen writing this.

Anyway. Periods not being regular is totally normal for years.

However - if they have been regular and now they're suddenly not.

It can be stress, weight changes, pregnancy.

Check with a doctor..
make an appointment with the doctor right away!
A sperm infection!
ask a doctor.
um, pregnancy...
Its just cause she is young. I use to go months without my period. Thrn i went on the pill and e verything was the way it was supposed to be. It might jus tbe her body not an infection. Or maybe she is pregers? chnaged her diet started a sport. is depressed or stressed
there are a lot of factors. how old is she? if she is young and has had 1 or 2 or 3 periods, it's not unusual to be irregular and skip a few just to start back up again after a month or two. is she sexually active?? that's an obvious answer. is pregnancy a possibility? is she thin or on a restrictive diet? girls with a % of low body fat commonly stop having their period - that's not a good thing! but it's not unusual especially if she's serious about sports. infections are probally far less likely to stop a girl's menses than any of the above scenarios. if all else fails, take her to the obgyn... good luck!
I can't believe you didn't tell us how old she is
well, if i were u , i would take her to have a test done to see if she is pregnant or not first. has she had sex yet, have u asked her if she has? but that is what i would check first and then if is is not that then u can go from there..
well if she is or was bulimic this may have heppened...and other than that.pregnancy can always be an answer.
Being under a certain weight - something like 85lbs - will cause it to stop. She may have PCOS (PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome, which is a hormonal imblance) will do it also and is more common than you'd think. Check these links out for symptoms and treatments:

first if you can rule out pregnancy, then there are a number of things that could cause lack of menstruation which has many different causes and is common in many women. intense emotional stress, the presence of blocked or hidden traumas or suppressed feelings, excessive and rigorous exercising, inadequate nutrition through diet and/or supplements, total lack of high quality proteins and fats in food, hormone imbalances and the use of birth control pills for prolonged period of time. my advice is get checked out by a gynecologist for an overall exam and peace of mind.

** edit **
i just posted and since then you've added the fact that she's not yet 12. so it's okay and normal to not have a consistent period at 11 years old! while some girls start menstruation later in their teens, some girls start very early and have irregular periods in the beginning. everyone develops at their own pace. take into consideration her age, overall health and physical condition and then if you're still worried, see a doctor.
Take her to a doc.
