I'm seventeen and still growing.?

Question:
I'm seventeen and about 5'5" right now and 105 pounds. I thought I was full grown but recently i'v been having sore legs, arms, feet, etc. So I went to the doctor a couple times over the course of a year and they found nothing wrong with me and he told me that I was having a rapid growth spirt in hight. He also said i should avoide rigorus exercise of the legs because it could be hard on them because i'm growing so fast. He said it was an uncommon thing for a person my age and I have to say I think it's a little bit strange as well. Do you find it abnormal? What are your views
?

Answers:
You should see an Endocrinologist (specialist in hormones). Growth spurts in girls at age 17 is not normal.

Girls stop growing in height at 17 or 18 and do not have spurts then.

I stopped growing at 17 at 5'5" tall and same weight as you...
when did you start puberty?

ill edit my answer when you add info
no sometimes people dont stop growing until there 21
